too bad

Boyfriend and I applied for this apartment on Assiniboine. We waited for two weeks to find out whether we got it or not. I called yesterday and they told me it has been re-rented. We are sad, but we spent the evening walking around looking at other apartments that we might like. While walking by a nice apartment, we realized that we knew the people who lived in it, and they let us come inside and have a look. I liked their apartment a lot, and I especially liked that it had a porch. Later when we were walking, and looking at more, another boy we know came out of his apartment and we talked a little about it. He said that the "mice are gone now", which turned me off of that apartment very much. It was nice to look around, but I want to get the ball rolling, and apply for another one as soon as possible!

it was fun.

This weekend I met Lucy the dog at a BBQ. The BBQ was hosted by a very special girl. The food was good, but the dessert was AMAZING! It tasted just like non-vegan food, but it was for the vegans.
I had a really good time at the BBQ, and I especially liked the storm that occured that night

Some of the other people who were at the BBQ played scrabble. I don't like scrabble anymore, but I LOVE boggle. Maybe next time it will be boggle.

This girl won the first scrabble game. She was very happy, and I was very proud of her for beating the other braniacs.
I don't know who won the second game, but it doesn't matter.
I was having too much fun in the sunroom! (it was too hot in the dining room.)
Also, Tyson Shwaluk was in the sunroom.
Overall I had a good time on Saturday. I felt happy afterwards.

The next day, Boyfriend, another boy and I drove to the country for a nice visit. We stopped for some cherries at the side of the road, and the man let us taste them first. They were good, so we bought some to take on the drive.
They were kind of expensive, but you can't stop by a stand and try some fruit and say "hmm... No, actually, I don't want to buy any of your good-tasting fruit". We made a cup out of a piece of paper to put the stems and seeds in, and we were on our way again.

First we stopped by Elie to sightsee.
We saw nothing exciting. I did notice,

however, that the Elie grocery was the place to be!

Afterwards we went to visit the other boy's father in St. Francois Xavier. He happens to live where my parents, and grandparents lived in the seventies. Back then, however, it was a campground, with a two and a half acre swimming pool. Now it is a big housing development.
The reason we went there was to visit some baby ducks. They were cute and I wished I could have petted them.

After visiting with the ducks for a while, we drove back to the city.

I found out that there was a surprise birthday party for my sister happening in a short time, so we made our way over to the restaurant to wait for her.
when she got to the restaurant, she was not happy. She had been tricked.
I ate some "crisps" and then we headed back to my apartment for a while. We waited for 9:00 PM for the other boy's cute girlfriend to get off work. At that time, we went and picked her up and took her to VJ's for a hamburger, then drove out to the BDI for some ice cream.
What a nice end to my weekend. We walked across the bridge, and straight back and Boyfriend drove me home. I enjoyed the entire weekend thoroughly. I hope next weekend will be fun too.

Supper with the cousins!

Last night I went out for supper with my cousins! I had a pineapple and ham pizza, and it was delicious! I also ate a bunch of my cousin's fries, because she had honey dill dipping sauce for them. There were a couple of quarrels between the two of them... and yes I think I joined in a couple of times. Afterwards, they came to see my apartment for the first time. I gave them a freezie.

I like my cousins. They are both special. On the way to the restaurant, I had a giggle attack with one of them. I went to bed at 9. I couldn't stay awake, and I was trying to get myself to at least try to watch a movie or something, but my brain kept saying "just go lie down for a bit!". Well, I did, and the night was over. Not bad though. I got a lot of sleep.

Pictures of Brandon Land

Boyfriend told me that this picture looked cool, but now that I see it up close I dislike it.
I'm pretending to drink this. We had some classy drinking glasses in Brandon Town.
I don't remember what was so exciting.
On the way to the social.
This picture says everything that needs to be said.
After the social.

Mango pants. A mango was thrown and it splattered everywhere.

Other things were thrown. Can you find the banana?

That was Brandon. I liked it.

This was last night, during the preliminary storm time. I ended up driving in the scariest rain. I like thunderstorms a lot.

Brandon Time

Boyfriend and I went to Brandon this weekend for a social. I had a pretty good time overall. I took a lot of pictures, but my camera is hiding on me, so I figured i'd just talk a little bit today. No, I'll wait for the pictures. They will do a better job of explaining the weekend. Wait for more.

Yum!. This morning I was just sitting at work minding my own business, when these treats appeared on my desk! They were delicious! The round one was a mini cheesecake!! Yum!

Goodbye my good friend. Hello bleeding man.

Ok, so I had an alright weekend, which consisted of a birthday party for my sister, some movie watching, soccer, reading, and cleaning with some new special cleaning products that I got. A good weekend.... or so I thought! On Monday my sister called me and asked me if I had taken my bike from my parent's backyard... I hadn't. It was STOLEN!

On Sunday night my mom looked outside and there was a man lurking in the backyard. She asked him what he was doing, and he said he was bleeding and needed to wash his hands in the pond. He said he heard it from the road. (which I tested and you cannot hear it at all). My mom helped him clean up with hot water and paper towel. I don't really know the full story. I just know that the next day my bike was gone. I suppose it's speculation, but I've noticed that when weird bleeding men AREN'T in our yard, things don't get stolen. I loved my bike. My dad bought me and my sister bikes at Canadian tire when we were kids. It was my first bike. I remember getting it, and even that it was $202.00. Once when I was 12 or so, I had one of those gel seats on it. It had a hole in it, and I put my finger in, and maggots came out. There are so many special times I spent with my bike, and I just want it to know that I miss it.

In other news, this morning I was on a bus for 10 minutes before I noticed that it said my name on the seat in front of me. It made me feel happy.

Party time!

Right now I'm having the best time ever with Boyfriend, some others and Tyson Shwaluk. I can't hear much, because the music is by my ears... so I'm hanging out by myself on the computer.

Yesterday was my eldest sister's 31st birthday! It was raining and crappy so we went to a high school art show instead of partying. It was fun too. Some of the art was great, and some of it was lame. My favourite picture turned out to be my cousin's, so I was impressed. It was a total Sarah picture. It was a boy a a girl's faces and they were made of candy hearts. I'm gonna put a picture up later to show how great it is. After that my other sister and I went back to my house and listened to records and made paintings (we tried to be inspired from the art show, but mostly it made us feel bad about our own talent.) . The paintings are birthday presents for the other sister, and I'm sure she will love them.

In other news, this is my cat Doodle. I think she is a very pretty cat. Unfortunately she is fat.

I wish it was nice out and I could throw a ball.

Monday, June 4, 2007

I had another fun filled weekend! Friday after work Boyfriend picked me up and we went to Sargeant Blue Jean, and both picked out new pants! (matching!) Then we went for supper at La Fiesta and it was great, even though I had Nachos... which seems lame, but I LOVE nachos!

They had lots of brown stuff on them, and lots of cheese, so it was great! There was a man on the stage singing mostly love songs so it was romantic and special. Afterwards we went to a store to look at shoes, but no purchases were made. Then we went to the movie "Knocked Up".

Saturday I worked until 4, and then I went to the mall with my sister. We had a good time overall, but we had to leave because the doors we closing and I didn't want to be trapped in the mall for the entire weekend! Saturday night I went to Charleswood in Motion (or Chuck N' Mo) with Boyfriend and some other cool friends. I was a little disappointed that the fair grounds were moved to a different area, but I was assured that due to recent weather, it couldn't have been any other way. We had hamburgers, mini donuts, went on the bumper cars, and played shooting games. It was the best. Unfortunately we missed most of the fireworks because we were on the bumper cars (basically the only ride that you couldn't see the sky from). Afterwards we had ice cream at an apartment.

Sunday was also a lot of fun! I took a bus back to Charleswood in the morning to go see the parade, and as I walked up to my street, I saw my mom in her lawn chair waiting for it, even though it wasn't supposed to start for 25 minutes! I went home and got my sisters together and we watched the parade! It was the shortest one ever, and no shriners! (actually, right before the parade we saw one drive up another street .. perhaps he was lost??)

After the parade, we went back to Chuck N' Mo, and I ate a lot of food, and watched the Folklorama dancers and had lots of fun petting the animals in the petting zoo! (I can't believe that I was Kneeling in an animal enclosure.)

I washed my hands and helped my mom at her booth in the arena.

When we got home, we went straight to my uncle's house for his birthday party. We had supper there, which was amazing, because it was steak and it was the good kind that we never have... We had cake, and he opened his boring gifts and we left.

When I got home, I had a message to call Boyfriend about going bowling! I called him back and off we went! We bowled with 4 other cool people. At first I was loving the bowling, but then I actually (and this has never happened to me in my entire life) became bored of it. I bowled one entire game with my left hand because I didn't care anymore. This upsets me very much because I love bowling!! Maybe I was just tired, and I knew I'd have to be up early, etc.

After bowling I went home and read a romance comic (Saturday Present from Boyfriend!) and went to sleep.. All in all a very eventful weekend. Not much is getting done at home... I have had the same dishes in my sink for some time now, and I'm almost out of socks!

This morning my buses didn't meet each other like they have every other day I've taken them for 3 months. I was late for work for the very first time in my life, and it hurt my stomach. I don't think anyone knew I was late though.. it was only six minutes. (heartbreaking.)
